Instructions
Step 1
We find on the Internet or in the reference book drawings of the buggy, which we are going to do with our own hands.
Step 2
We make a steel frame according to drawings. We cut the steel pipes to size and weld them into a single structure.
Step 3
We disassemble the donor car. We measure the attachment points of the power unit and gearbox. You can use cardboard to make a template.
Step 4
We transfer the template to the welded frame of the buggy. We mark the attachment points of the attachments and weld metal platforms in these places. Drills technological holes for fixing parts.
Step 5
We install the engine and gearbox on the welded frame. We take out the control of the buggy to the driver's seat - we fix the pedal assembly and the gearshift lever, adjusting their position for ourselves. We weld or fix the controls with bolts and nuts. We install lock nuts or cotter pins to prevent unauthorized unwinding of parts.
Step 6
We transfer the steering gear from the donor car assembly to the welded frame. We mark the attachment points and install the steering column on the buggy.
Step 7
We install the seat from the car. We adjust its location to the height and fit of the owner of the buggy. We mark the attachment points and fix the seat runners by welding or screwing.
