Buying or selling a car under a general power of attorney is the most popular way to register a car for another person in Russia. The seller gets rid of the need to go through lengthy procedures for removing the car from the register, and the buyer gets the right to drive the car for the entire duration of the power of attorney and re-register the car for himself whenever he wants and without the participation of the seller. There are several types of general power of attorney, but only one type is interesting; to drive and dispose of a vehicle with the right to sell. It is quite simple to issue a general power of attorney.
It is necessary
The client's passport, the original or a copy of the passport of the trusted vehicle (PTS), the original of the certificate of registration of the trusted vehicle, data of the person who is entrusted with the vehicle, money
Instructions
Step 1
A general power of attorney is drawn up by a notary and before starting the execution, find out where the nearest notary office is located. Call the office to find out the opening hours and how long it will take to wait in line. It may turn out that in an office not closest to you, the procedure for issuing a power of attorney will take much less time.
Step 2
Prepare the following documents before visiting a notary:
The client's passport (of the person who applied, do not forget about the replacement when: 20 years old, 45 years old).
Original or copy of the passport of the trusted vehicle (PTS).
Original certificate of registration of the trusted vehicle.
Data of the person to whom the vehicle is entrusted (a power of attorney is issued) - last name, first name, patronymic, exact date of birth, address of registration at the place of residence (registration by passport).
Do not forget to also prepare money in the amount of 1000 rubles. This is how much it costs to issue a general power of attorney with a notary. You will need the money if the obligation to pay for registration by agreement is left to you.
Step 3
If everything is ready, then you just have to come to the chosen notary office and, presenting all the above documents to the notary, write out a general power of attorney. The direct procedure for issuing a general power of attorney takes no more than twenty minutes. After receiving the general power of attorney from the notary, the principal gives the keys and documents from the car to the authorized person and he can safely drive the car, perform all actions and transactions as the owner of the car, without being such.
