In this case, painting is required, which it is advisable to do on your own in order to save a certain amount.

Instructions
Step 1
Wash your car thoroughly with a special shampoo. Remove dirt and dust from all hard-to-reach areas. To do this, use a variety of brushes. Prepare for painting and garage. Thoroughly mop the floor and blow through all walls with a compressor to get rid of dust. Spray the floor with water just before painting. This will kill the dust flying in the air.
Step 2
Dismantle the hood. To do this, unscrew the bolts that secure the gas stops. Support the hood with a wooden stick to secure it. After dismantling the gas stops, remove the hinges.
Step 3
Examine the places where the hinges and stops are attached. Corrosion most often begins in them. If the metal in the attachment points has rotted, then it must be carefully cut out. After that, select the size of the patch and weld it.
Step 4
Install the hood on special trestles. They can be made from several boards, knocked together in a criss-cross pattern. Remove old paint from the bonnet. To do this, use sandpaper or abrasive wheels. You need to start cleaning the hood with coarse sandpaper, gradually using sheets with a smaller caliber.
Step 5
Degrease the surface with a special liquid. Apply a layer of acidic primer. Try to keep the layer as thin as possible. Apply a layer of putty to the primed surface. Let the hood dry a little.
Step 6
Degrease the surface and apply the first coat of paint with a spray gun. If you make a mistake during the painting process, then you need to re-paint the entire hood.
Step 7
Sand the dried paint. Degrease the surface and apply a coat of varnish.
