Traffic accidents are quite common on the roads. An accident usually occurs due to a violation of the rules by one of the drivers. In such an incident, you need to know how to fill out the accident form correctly.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, write down the necessary information about the participants and witnesses of the accident. A correctly filled out form will speed up the work of insurers and you will be able to receive a refund faster.
Step 2
If one of the drivers forgets to indicate the name and address of the insurance company or puts a cross in the wrong place, then the insurer will have to search for the missing information on its own. The document certifying the accident must be well read. It is recommended to use only one set of forms for two vehicles involved in the accident. This document has two columns. It doesn't matter which one you fill out.
Step 3
It is best to use a ballpoint pen when filling. Write with pressure. Please note that all information must be displayed clearly on the copy. In this case, the insurers will receive a readable copy of the same form. Both drivers must fill out the document in case of an accident. At the very bottom of the copy, the signatures of both participants in the accident should be put.
Step 4
The form must also be certified by the traffic police officer who arrived at the scene of the accident for registration. There are times when the perpetrators of the accident refuse to sign or fill out a copy. In this situation, fill it in yourself and indicate in the appropriate box the brand, number, color of the car of another participant in the accident. You must also find witnesses and provide the necessary information about these individuals.
Step 5
If it was not possible to find witnesses, then in paragraph 7, indicate “no witnesses”. If they are, then enter the full name, address and telephone numbers. In point 13, you must describe which part of the car was damaged initially. Never list any parts that were damaged in a collision. In paragraph 14, accurately and briefly describe the nature of the damage to parts, as well as elements. You should also emphasize the required damage characterization. It could be a dent, scratch, or tear.
