The most important suspension elements of a modern car are stabilizer struts. Their failure will not only affect the driving characteristics, but can also cause a serious accident. The appearance of knocks in the front of the suspension when the car passes irregularities may indicate the need to replace the stabilizer struts.

Step 1
First of all, you need to carefully consider the choice of new racks. These suspension elements cannot be bought "by eye", taking into account only the external similarity in length and angle of inclination. While most stabilizer struts are visually similar, they should not be assumed to be interchangeable. Buy only stands that are designed for your model.
Step 2
To replace the struts, it is necessary to hang the car on a lift or jack on at least one axle. This is done in order to bring the suspension into balance. When hanging only one wheel, the stabilizer will pull the suspension down and even with a successful procedure for removing the old strut, it will still not be possible to install the new one correctly.
Step 3
To unscrew the stand, grab the edges on the ball pin with a key and fix the tool, unscrew the stand. After removing the old part, replace it with a new one and tighten the nuts. Do not tighten the nuts all the way - you can finally tighten them only after the machine has been lowered and the rack has reached its working position.
Step 4
Pay particular attention to the dust boots, which are located on the hinges of the rack and protect it from moisture and dirt, which leads to rapid wear of the part. It is very easy to damage the boot, so make sure that the key does not come off when loosening and tightening the nuts.
Step 5
At the factory, transport caps are usually put on the racks, which serve to protect the anthers. They must be removed prior to installation, otherwise the stabilizer arm will fail again in a very short time.
