Necessary

  • - a set of spanners and open-end wrenches with socket heads;
  • - a drill with a drill for metal;
  • - observation pit or overpass;
  • - adjustable stops and underrun shoes.

Instructions

Step 1

The anti-roll bar of the rear suspension increases the angular rigidity of the rear beam, improves traction of the rear wheels in corners, distributes shock loads to both shock absorbers when moving over irregularities with one wheel.

Step 2

To install the kit, install the VAZ on the inspection pit, overpass, or hang the rear part on a lift. In this case, the car must be securely fixed with brakes and wheel chocks. Wash parts and assemblies of the rear suspension well.

Step 3

Unscrew the bottom nut securing the rear shock absorber, using the other wrench to keep the bolt from turning. Place an adjustable stop under the corresponding part of the beam and lift the beam. Remove the shock absorber mounting bolt.

Step 4

Insert the bolt into place by passing it through the hole in the side stabilizer bracket. Place a nut on the bolt, but do not tighten. Place the side bracket symmetrically between the sides of the beam bracket, firmly tighten the baited nut and remove the stop from under the rear beam.

Step 5

Use a center punch to mark the drilling points for the holes in the rear beam. Use the holes in the bracket for marking. Drill two holes in the beam for 8.5 mm bolts. Insert the bolts through the hole in the end of the rear beam and thread them in. Tighten the nuts while holding the bolts through the hole with a wrench. Attach the bracket on the other side of the beam in the same way.

Step 6

Fasten the fixed brackets of the stabilizer bar to the lower edge of the beam. To do this, install the bar on the beam so that the cushions at the ends of the bar are located between the pins of the side brackets. Hook the removable boom bracket onto the top edge of the beam. After aligning the brackets, insert the bolt into their holes and secure it with a nut. Attach the bracket to the other side of the beam in the same way.

Step 7

Place the bracket on the stabilizer bar cushion and slide it over the side bracket studs. Put the nuts on the studs and tighten them. Install the bracket on the other side of the beam in the same way. At the end of all work, check the tightness of all nuts and bolts again, placing the car on the wheels.
