Necessary

  • - primer;
  • - degreaser;
  • - plastic knife;
  • - building hair dryer;
  • - dye;
  • - soap solution;
  • - tint film.

Instructions

Step 1

Remember that the light transmission of the headlights after all the upgrades must clearly meet the requirements of GOST. Wash your car. Remove both headlamp units. To do this, open the hood and remove the negative terminal of the storage battery. Remove all bolts holding the headlight housing. Remove it from the groove. On the back side, disconnect the wiring block. Disconnect the second headlamp in the same way.

Step 2

Wipe down the headlight housing. Remove all plastic covers and removable parts. Take a building hair dryer, set the air power to the middle. Heat the glass around the perimeter with gentle movements. The sealant will start to warm up. Carefully separate the glass from the case.

Step 3

Remove old sealant from glass and housing. Degrease the surface. Take out the headlight reflectors. Sand them with fine sandpaper. Apply a thin coat of primer. After ten minutes, degrease it and apply the first coat of paint. Then apply a second coat. Lay the reflectors to dry. You can dry them with a hair dryer, setting the power to a minimum and holding the hair dryer at least thirty centimeters from the reflector.

Step 4

The headlamp glass can be tinted from the outside. To do this, degrease it. Apply a layer of soapy water. Peel off the protective layer from the tint film and stick it on the headlight. Smooth out the film thoroughly and expel all the water from under it. Heat the surface of the headlamp in a circular motion while smoothing the film.

Step 5

Install dry reflectors inside the headlight. Check if the installation is correct. Apply a new coat of sealant to the edges of the glass and case. Press the glass firmly against the headlight housing. Make sure that there are no distortions. Remove excess sealant with a plastic knife.
