Necessary

  • - special equipment;
  • - tools.

Instructions

Step 1

Install the pre-heater, first draining the coolant. After that, you will need to flush the entire cooling system with hot water. If your engine has a coolant drain valve, unscrew this valve and insert a fitting into the empty space, one end of which has a suitable diameter for the hose, and the other has a thread for screwing in. Use a heat resistant silicone sealant to prevent the gaskets from falling out

Step 2

Find the process plug, which should be in the engine block, if there is no such valve. After that, you will need to unscrew it and perform the same actions as described above.

Step 3

Install and secure the preheater. To do this, you need to connect the intake point to the heater inlet. Perform this operation with clamps and a hose.

Step 4

Then connect the heater outlet from the stove to the engine in the place of the hose break. You can also use one of the other high points. Then connect the tee using sealant and clamps. Please note that the hose from the tee to the heater must be laid as short as possible so that there are no kinks or zigzags. After laying, the hose must be secured in the engine on one side and in the heater on the other.

Step 5

Connect the hose to the structure of the machine with plastic ties to prevent hot parts of the car from touching the hose.

Step 6

Refill the cooling system and start the engine. After that, let it run for 10 minutes so that the fluid begins to circulate well, and turn off the engine. Connect the pre-heater to a 220V network and check its operation. To do this, grasp the upper part of the pre-heater with your hand and control the heating of the device. Then start using the new equipment in your car.
