The car muffler is an important element. Its main function is to muffle the noise that occurs during the operation of the exhaust system. The muffler also filters harmful gases generated during the combustion of fuel. Many owners of VAZ cars put forward flow instead of a standard muffler. Instructions
Step 1
Remove the muffler from the standard mounting straps. The exhaust pipe is secured with straps that are attached to the vehicle's suspension. This creates the stability of the muffler while the vehicle is in motion. You can remove the belts from the mounts using an ordinary screwdriver. Pull aside the hooks that secure the muffler. There is also a place for the central attachment of the muffler. Use two keys to keep the bolt from spinning. Then unscrew it.
Step 2
Disconnect the muffler from the resonator tube. This place is located a little further than the main muffler. At this point, you will see a clamp that holds the two pipes together. It is this clamp that you need to unscrew. It is fastened with two nuts. When spinning each of them, do not forget to substitute the second key. This will prevent any of the elements from scrolling.
Step 3
Disconnect the pipes. After you unscrew the clamp, you need to remove the O-ring. This can only be done by disconnecting the pipes. This is not very difficult to do; you only need to make a little effort. This is sometimes not always easy, so use brake fluid to lubricate the pipe sections. You can also separate the pipe petals with a screwdriver. But do it very carefully so as not to damage them.
Step 4
Pull out the muffler. When installing a new muffler or direct flow, it is necessary to cut it at the junction of the pipe with the "main" muffler. Next, a new muffler or forward flow is attached by welding. If the attachment points of the two pipes by means of the clamp have rotted, it will not be possible to unscrew them. To remove the muffler, in this case, you will have to cut part of the pipe with a grinder. Then extend the pipe to the required length.
