By a strange coincidence, noise insulation of interiors in domestic cars is not provided by the manufacturer. Thanks to this, the brainchild of the Volga Automobile Plant is not called by the people other than "rattles". Although the market is ready to offer everything it needs to fill this gap.
Necessary
- - 6 sq.m of insulating material,
- - solvent - 1l,
- - a sharp knife,
- - building hair dryer,
- - screwdriver.
Instructions
Step 1
Before the start of the production of soundproofing works, absolutely everything is removed from the car interior. Next, you need to get rid of what the manufacturers glued to the inner surface of the doors and ceiling, without affecting the bottom - this is the only thing that can be left.
Step 2
The old insulation, glued by the car factories, is heated with an electric hair dryer and scraped off. Do not try to save time and stick new material on top of what is in the car, it will not lead to anything good, and all the work will end up in vain. This fact has been verified repeatedly. When cleaning the interior, fire safety measures must be observed.
Step 3
After cleaning the insides of the cabin from everything unnecessary, it is required to degrease the places on which it is supposed to stick the new noise-vibration-insulating material with acetone.
Step 4
Probably, you should immediately make a reservation that during the performance of the soundproofing of the cabin, folk wisdom is most relevant: "You cannot spoil porridge with butter!" So in this case - do not save and seal all available places.
Step 5
At the first stage of work, the surface of the inner door space is pasted over. Patterns are cut, tried on, greased abundantly with glue and placed at predetermined points.
Step 6
If self-adhesive material is used, then the protective layer is removed from the pattern, after fitting, and it is glued to the desired place.
Step 7
After gluing the inner space of the doors, the outer panel from the passenger compartment is covered with insulation, in which all the necessary technological holes are cut out in advance.
Step 8
Having finished with the soundproofing of the doors, the ceiling of the cabin and the front panel are pasted over. The work is not difficult, the technology is the same.
Step 9
After pasting the interior, the luggage compartment is covered with sound insulation from the inside. The most challenging area is the wheel arches and shock absorber cups. Therefore, cutting a larger number of small-sized patterns is required.
Step 10
For a high-quality coating of surfaces, it is better to first make patterns on paper, and then transfer them to a material intended for noise insulation.
