Step 1
Contact the traffic police department where your car is registered. Take all the documents for the new engine to the department along with the invoice, technical documentation and a certificate. If the new engine has already been used on the territory of the Russian Federation, you only need a certificate-account for it. Fill out an application to replace the registration data in the car on the spot. You should have received the documents directly upon purchasing the goods. In order to be able to legally install a new engine, you first have to get a resolution from authorized traffic police officers on your statement that you are sent to a certified diagnostic center to undergo an examination of a new unit.
Step 2
Go to a service station to install a new engine in your vehicle. Then go to the diagnostic center, having the documents from the service station and a statement in your hands. You must visit a service station in order to obtain a professional opinion that your car and engine meet the current environmental standards, road safety requirements and that the machine is fit for use.
Step 3
Go to the MREO department with all the documents received from the traffic police and service station at the place of your registration. Submit an application stating the reason for registering a new engine. To get in line, contact a department employee, and after receiving permission, drive into the site to inspect the car. After the inspection, pay all the necessary state fees.
Step 4
Visit in your MREO the employee who draws up the passport of the technical device (PTS) with an application for the issuance of a technical passport. After verifying the numbers that are indicated in the documents, within 10-15 minutes in your technical passport there will be new engine data.
