Step 1
Contact the traffic police with a statement to remove the car from the register. Pay for the required receipts for completing the procedure. Execute the removal of the car from the register in the MREO. If necessary, obtain transit numbers for the car.
Step 2
Download the sales contract form and fill out two copies of it. If the cost of the car to be sold has already been discussed with the buyer, put it down in the appropriate line of the document. You can draw up a contract in writing. No notarization of this transaction is required.
Step 3
Prepare a receipt for the receipt of money, indicating the passport details of the buyer and seller. Ownership of the car passes at the time of signing the purchase agreement by both parties.
Step 4
Register a car for sale through a thrift store (the second option for selling a car). To do this, it is necessary that the car was removed from the register at the traffic police.
Step 5
Provide a thrift store with a vehicle passport (PTS) and a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. After that, the car will be accepted for sale. When registering a car sale, the store will draw up an agreement and a certificate-invoice in the presence of the seller. The money for the car is transferred to the seller directly from the buyer.

Step 7
In this case, issue a power of attorney for the representative of the company with a notary, and the specialist will prepare all the necessary documents for the sale of the car himself. The money for the car can be received after the power of attorney is issued, however, the ownership of the car will remain until the signing of the purchase and sale agreement with the buyer, which the specified company will find.
Step 8
Make a copy of the issued power of attorney and keep it with you, because until the moment the car is sold, the owner is responsible for various incidents involving this car, and a copy of the power of attorney will help to prove non-involvement in these incidents.
