Sometimes car owners think about changing the interior of the cabin of their iron horse. They usually start with upholstering the seats. Fitting a car seat is a rather painstaking and complex process that requires partial or complete disassembly of the car.

Step 1
Remove the seats from the vehicle. Keep in mind that you need a lot of free space to work. Carefully remove the seat covers. This will require a lot of work, as old material can sit tight. Of course, it all depends on the fabric and its quality.
Step 2
Open the cover into parts that need to be transferred to the new material. Some specific details need to be reinforced with foam rubber with a fabric backing. These places will be visible, as there will be traces of factory reinforcement. It is advisable to use a spray adhesive for fastening. After gluing, ready-made parts with foam rubber must be sewn. The most important thing in this process is accuracy. Parts must be connected exactly so that the edges do not move away from one another.
Step 3
Now glue the seam cuffs, they are located on the seamy side of the cover. Sew the cuffs with a finishing stitch. If you need to trim the edges, do it with regular scissors.
Step 4
Turn the finished cover onto the front side, and then straighten it. Then pull the product over the seat frame. To do this, you need to unfold the cover on the chair itself. Press the material against the frame and feed it through the hole in the seat cushion.
Step 5
Warm up the covers with a hair dryer. This is done in order to dry them as quickly as possible. As a result, the leather will stretch over the seat. Allow all other parts to dry completely. If you then steam the leather case with an iron, then the material will become perfectly smooth.
Step 6
Assemble the seat. It can only be installed in a car fully assembled. In no case should there be any miscalculations. After that, it is advisable to clean the interior, since it is after it that the final result of painstaking work will be visible.
