First of all, you need to find a motorist who will agree to help you. The assistant should approach you so that your batteries are located as close to each other as possible. You can stand with the hood to the hood or as close as possible, in front to one side. Find the optimal position of your vehicles, apply the parking brake and open the hoods of your vehicles.
Step 3
In order to connect your batteries, you need wires. These can be special "crocodiles" bought at a car dealership, or two ordinary wires. In the case of crocodiles, it will be easier and more convenient for you to connect the wires to the battery terminals. Connect the batteries of your vehicles, observing the polarity. Connect the "plus" of your battery with the "plus" of the assistant's battery, and the "minus", respectively, with the "minus".

After connecting, the partner must start his motor. Then you can try starting the engine. If the start is successful, disconnect the wires, close the hood and use the car.

If you don't have any wires at your disposal, you can use the extreme method. It only works on carbureted engines. Do not use it on modern vehicles with fuel injection systems! Ask your partner to remove the battery from the vehicle. Remove your battery. Install an assistant battery instead of yours. Then try starting the engine. In case of a successful start, with the engine running, remove the assistant battery and install your own. Return the battery to the assistant, and on yours, tighten the clamp fasteners tightly. Observe the polarity when performing the procedure! Incorrectly connected wires can cause a short circuit in the wiring.
