Instructions

Step 1

Switch off the ignition and make sure the engine has cooled slightly. After that, open the hood and remove the container that contains the power steering fluid. Carefully inspect the reservoir for cracks and damage, because fluid leakage can adversely affect the car parts.

Step 2

After raising the container, you will see a return hose, which you carefully disconnect in order to drain the old liquid. Prepare a suitable vessel in advance, into which you will drain. Make sure that the liquid does not get on the car body or on your body, otherwise wash it off immediately with water.

Step 3

At the attachment point of the removed hose, attach another, of a suitable diameter, the end of which is lowered into a previously prepared container. Then insert the key into the ignition and start the engine. Wait a few minutes, then start turning the steering wheel all the way in different directions so that the liquid starts to pour out. After the reservoir is empty, stop the engine.

Step 4

Then carefully attach the return hose to its place. Pick up the power steering fluid and fill the reservoir with it to the maximum level. Remember, it is best to use the fluid recommended by the machine manufacturer. Then start the engine again and turn the steering wheel to release excess air from the system. Then turn off the ignition and check the liquid level in the container.

Step 5

Add fluid if necessary. Be careful not to overflow beyond the maximum mark. If there is any suspension or dark spots in the liquid, repeat the procedure. Remember to regularly check the fluid level and top up. If deposits appear on the sides of the container, replace the container immediately.
