Necessary

  • - ties for springs;
  • - tubular wrenches ranging in size from 10 to 20;
  • - oil for the shock absorber;
  • - grease for springs;
  • - jack.

Instructions

Step 1

Make sure that the cause of the car malfunction is precisely in the shock absorbers. To do this, simply click on the back of the body. Ideally, the front shocks will straighten while the rear will compress. That is, the "nose" of the car will go up, and the rear will go down. If this is not the case, the problem is in the shock absorber. To determine which one - front or rear, just drive 100 meters, and you will definitely hear a knock. Determine where the sound is coming from. Accordingly, if in front, then the problem is with the front shock absorber, if in the back - with the rear. Most often it is the rear shock absorber that breaks down, because the main load falls on it.

Step 2

Select a location for the jack and start lifting the rear of the machine. The required ascent angle is 10-15 degrees. Now proceed to remove the wheel. Once the wheel is removed, use a pipe wrench to remove all rear shock absorber bolts. Choosing a key size is easy, just try keys from 10 to 20.

Step 3

Remove the shock absorber. Unscrew all fasteners and it will fully stretch. In order to remove, simply install the screeds on the shock absorber and start squeezing them a little. Once you squeeze them, carefully remove the shock absorber along with the zip ties.

Step 4

Lubricate the spring with grease and completely change the oil in the shock absorber. Then reinstall the ties and start compressing the shock. Slide it back down carefully and make sure it fits into the groove. Unclench the tie a little in order to screw in all the bolts. Now twist them in random order.

Step 5

Make sure the bolts are tight and fully open the ties. Mount the wheel. Lower the car. In order to make sure that the rear shock absorbers are in good working order, follow the procedures described at the beginning. It remains only to wait until the grease on the springs is completely dry.
