The most important element of a car wheel is the tire. It is an elastic rubber-metal-fabric shell, which is installed on the rim of the disc. The main task of the tire is to ensure contact of the car with the road surface. In addition, it absorbs minor vibrations that are caused by imperfect road surfaces. Today, tubeless tires are most often installed on a vehicle, which, like tube counterparts, are prone to punctures, which very often occurs on the road. Therefore, every motorist should know how tires are installed.

Necessary

  • - Car key;
  • - jack.

Instructions

Step 1

Old wheels and tires are removed first. To do this, unscrew the nuts using an ordinary car key, but not completely, that is, you will only need to loosen them.

Step 2

Now jack up the vehicle. This should be done exclusively on a flat surface. After that, you can completely unscrew the nuts and remove the wheels.

Step 3

Place the new tubeless tires in front of the old ones. In this case, each tire that is planned to be installed will have to take its final position in order to avoid confusion. After that, remove all rust and dirt from the surface of drums and brake discs.

Step 4

The next step is to check the fit of the wheel on the car hub. The slightest deviation of the center of the hub from the center of the rim can cause wheel runout. And this, as you know, is accompanied by vibration on the steering wheel. In the worst case, the reliability of the fastening of the wheel itself can be jeopardized, and this can lead to tragic consequences.

Step 5

To verify that the car bolts and nuts are sized correctly for the threads, install without wheels the first time. In doing so, you should not feel even the slightest resistance. If the nuts and studs are correct, they can be tightened by hand without using a wrench.

Step 6

Before installing tires, treat all wheel bolts and wheel seats with an anti-corrosion compound, which can be used as a wax spray. Now you can put the tires back in place, then remember to run your hand over each wheel. This will ensure that the outside edge of the disc is not rubbing against the inside of the rim.
