Instructions

Step 1

First of all, visually assess the dent on the outside of the door. If the area of the dent is large, most likely, you will not be able to remove it without traces, and in the end you will still see the "play in the sun".

Step 2

Remove the casing and gently work from the inside with a rubber mallet. Apply force not to the center of the dent, but closer to the fastening panel - this will restore the shape of the door panel. Then level the wrinkled surface at the attachment points using spot heating and cooling. Do this until the shape is completely restored, or just manually try to push the dent from the inside. So the dent can straighten - the metal will play back, then you just have to straighten it.

Step 3

Also try slipping a camera tube under the trim and inflating it until it evens out the dent.

Step 4

There is also a more innovative method of flattening the dent. To do this, take a hairdryer and a can of liquefied CO2, heat the surface of the dent with a hairdryer, and then spray CO2 on it for several tens of seconds. The metal should straighten out.
