To straighten the wheel of the machine, you can contact the service center or do it yourself. Wheel straightening consists in straightening the cast disc. With such a problem, it is better to contact car services where there is the necessary equipment.
Necessary
- - jack;
- - sledgehammer;
- - a hammer;
- - water.
Instructions
Step 1
Remove the damaged wheel first. To do this, you need to raise the car with a jack and pull the wheel off the mountings.
Step 2
Place the wheel on a horizontal surface. Better on the floor, because on top you need to put a heavy load, otherwise it will jump on the floor from strong blows with a sledgehammer.
Step 3
Now do the "rough" job. Straighten the crumpled space on the disc with a sledgehammer. This is difficult because the disc is difficult to process. You need to apply a lot of impact force to get the result. So don't be afraid to overdo it and hit too hard.
Step 4
Then you take a hammer and place it against the edge of the rim on the inside of the disc, and use a sledgehammer to knock on the hammer to gently correct the flaws of rough work. Jeweler dressing should be done until the rim takes the shape of the correct circle.
Step 5
Now you need to check if the wheel you corrected is leaking water. To do this, pour water over it and watch. If bubbles appear on the surface of the wheel, it means that there is a depressurization in this place of the wheel, and you need to hit it with a hammer until there are no air bubbles or give the wheel for rolling to a car service. If there are no bubbles, then the work of straightening the wheel is finished and it can be replaced.
