Starting the engine at subzero temperatures becomes a real problem for motorists. Many people use various methods invented by them, the most dangerous of which is heating the engine with an open fire, i.e. blowtorch.

Instructions

Step 1

The blowtorch is an assembly consisting of a tank into which gasoline is poured and a burner. In addition, the lamp has a special pump that pumps air into the reservoir, creating excess pressure. Inject some gasoline on the burner door and light the fire, wait for a stable high temperature flame.

Step 2

Install a blowtorch under the metal oil pan of the engine, taking care that the flame does not touch flammable and low-melting parts of the car body. The flame should be directed sideways and downward

Step 3

The warm air created by the blowtorch heats the oil and allows the starter to crank the engine easily. Warming up the engine with a blowtorch lasts from 15 to 30 minutes. After that, you need to remove the blowtorch from under the car and try to start the engine.

Step 4

Do not use a blowtorch to open door locks. you can damage the paintwork of the car and warp the plastic plate in the lock itself. Then you will have to change the lock and paint the car again.

Step 5

Starting the engine in frost should be started by turning on the headlights for 30-40 seconds. This small load will allow the chemical processes in the battery to be activated. Then you should try to start the engine using a choke and depressed clutch pedal. Next, you should warm up the engine for 10-15 minutes, and only then start moving.
