Tanks are capable of covering many thousands of kilometers, performing combat missions or participating in exercises. If you are seriously thinking about dedicating your life to serving in the tank forces, try to get your first impression of driving this combat vehicle. High skill always begins with mastering the basics of technique management.
Instructions
Step 1
Carry out a control inspection of the equipment. Make sure the tank is filled with fuel, oil and coolant. Adjust the driver's seat to fit you. Start the car engine and warm it up.
Step 2
Engage second gear. This rule applies if you start driving on solid ground. On soft surfaces, it is recommended to start with the first gear. On very heavy ground, engage the planetary swing mechanisms when starting to drive.
Step 3
When starting up an incline, engage the main clutch and lower gear. Then move the control levers towards you to the point of failure, release the brake pedal and increase the fuel supply. Then move the control levers to the forward position one by one.
Step 4
Learn to change gears correctly and on time. To change to a higher gear from a low one, first give the tank acceleration by increasing the fuel mixture. When the car accelerates, engage the main clutch, reduce the fuel supply. Change gear. Now the fuel supply should be increased.
Step 5
If you need to slow down or increase traction on the tracks, change from high to low. Reduce the fuel mixture, turn off the main clutch, and put the rocker lever in neutral. At the same time engage a lower gear, main clutch and increase the fuel supply.
Step 6
Master the technique of making turns. A smooth turn is usually done at high speed, on slippery ground, or on a steep slope. For this, the lever of the planetary swing mechanism is moved to the first and then to the second position. The faster the tank moves, the more smoothly you move the control lever.
Step 7
To perform a sharp turn, turn on the appropriate planetary swing mechanism, followed by tightening its brake band. Do not forget to reduce the flow of the fuel mixture in time and move the control lever to the extreme rear position.
Step 8
And finally, practice braking and stopping the combat vehicle. Slow down and engage the main clutch at the same time. Step on the brake pedal in a smooth motion. This will reduce the movement speed, after which the tank will stop. To stop the machine in an emergency, release the fuel mixture pedal and depress the brake pedal.
