An audio system assembled from individual components has a higher sound quality than a music center made in the form of a monoblock. If desired, it can combine components from different manufacturers.
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase audio system components: tuner, turntable, optical disc player, cassette deck, input selector, equalizer, amplifier, and speakers. Do not purchase components from this list that you do not intend to use. They can be from one or different manufacturers, new or used, in any combination.
Step 2
Select the speakers so that they are matched with the amplifier in terms of power and impedance.
Step 3
Buy a quality extension cord with the same number of outlets or more than the number of plugs on your components. It must have a switch with a neon indicator. It is not only convenient, but also a design element of the audio system.
Step 4
Collect or purchase the required number of cables. If your components have connectors of different standards (DIN or RCA), purchase or make the required number of adapters.
Step 5
Connect the outputs of all signal sources to the input switcher. Connect the output of the switcher intended for the cassette deck to its input. Connect the other output of this device to the equalizer, and it, in turn, to the amplifier. Sometimes there are equalizers and amplifiers with built-in input switches. The latter are called amplifier-switching devices (UCU). Equalizer cannot be used with them. And in other cases, the equalizer can be omitted if desired.
Step 6
Connect speakers to the amplifier. If they are equipped with terminals, connect the wire with the red mark to the red terminal.
Step 7
Connect the power cords of all components that have such (in other words, except for the speakers) to the extension cord. Plug the extension cord into an outlet.
Step 8
When using the audio system, turn on the power only for the components that are currently in use. Use the input selector to correctly select which component should be connected to the amplifier and which to the tape deck, depending on the operation being performed. Switch off the general power supply when the audio system is not in use at all.
