For a long time, the “kopeck” dashboard was the leader among the representatives of the Soviet automobile industry. But over time, new technical solutions appeared, the design and construction of cars changed, the VAZ-2101 dashboard became antiques. Panels of modern cars have become more functional and more beautiful and practically do not differ from each other in terms of capabilities, so it became very difficult to choose a suitable panel from them.
Instructions
Step 1
Explore the location on the dashboard of various devices and devices. They should not "overlap" each other, the distance between them should not interfere with focusing on the selected device. In addition, they should stand out clearly, even when placed under glass.
Step 2
Divide the dashboard into separate zones in your mind. The devices in them should be grouped according to their functional purpose and have, if possible, the same color and size. The devices on the panel should not be intimidated by the abundance of information. They must have zones that characterize the state of the controlled object. For example, on the tachometer, you can select a zone that characterizes the maximum crankshaft speed.
Step 3
Make sure that the mandatory panel instruments are present and conveniently located: a speedometer and a fuel consumption indicator. It is preferable that the speedometer has a dial. In addition, an engine coolant temperature gauge should be located in a clearly visible place on the panel.
Step 4
Evaluate the qualitative and quantitative aspects of the information presented by the dashboard devices. The quantitative side is expressed in analog or digital form using dial gauges or digital displays. Qualitative information displays the state of the object and is characterized by the states on-off, enough-not enough, etc. Light indicators are widely used to display this type of information.
Step 5
If you are an amateur motorist and do not plan to carry out even minor car repairs on your own, choose a dashboard that has a small number of elements. In turn, the panel for a professional driver should contain information about the functioning of all vehicle systems.
