The car battery is one of the important components of the car, since it is from it that the initial impulse is supplied to the starter in order for the car to start. And therefore, in order to eliminate unwanted incidents in the future, it is necessary to install the battery, taking into account certain rules.
Instructions
Step 1
First, check the battery for serviceability and tightness (you do not need to check if the battery is new).
Step 2
Then place the battery on a pallet located under the hood of the car (on some cars, manufacturers provide other places for the battery, for example, under the rear seats). Place the battery so that the negative and positive terminals of the battery are close to the negative and positive terminals of the car, respectively. Usually the battery is placed "minus" to the right, that is, to the front of the car.
Step 3
After installing the battery on the pallet, put the terminals on the contacts and check the car for a short circuit anywhere.
Step 4
If there is no shorting anywhere, then tighten the terminals on the battery contacts tightly. To do this, use a key "10" to tighten the bolts on the terminals, holding the nuts on the reverse side with the same wrench.
