In order for the cylinders to work in sync, owners of heavy motorcycles have to constantly adjust the carburetors. But the way out of this situation may be to install one powerful carburetor instead of two. You can perform this operation in a home car service, that is, a garage.
It is necessary
- - metal 4mm plate;
- - nuts;
- - metal strips;
- - rubber hose;
- - spring;
- - carburetor;
- - a set of tools.
Instructions
Step 1
Make an exact copy of the bottom of the carburetor from the metal plate. Then cut the thread, screw the nuts onto it, and then weld these nuts to the plate. Make an elliptical hole at the ends of the plate, into which insert metal strips (each one millimeter thick), and weld them.
Step 2
At the end of welding work, be sure to align the plane where the carburetor will be screwed. Then try on the carburetor. After that, cut a groove in the metal box (it is designed for the accelerator pump lever).
Step 3
Leave the branch pipes dear. For the heads, you need to cut out washers with holes, into which insert the rectangle bent by the tube, and weld all the elements carefully.
Step 4
To ensure a smooth transition from a large diameter (standard pipe) to a smaller one (head diameter), use a rubber hose, secure it with clamps. Connect the box to the gearbox, fixing it with three MB screws. The caps of these screws should be securely fastened to prevent the metal plate from turning out.
Step 5
Upgrade the carburetor: namely, replace the part to which the choke cable was connected (install a wider part in its place). Then improve the bolt with which the sector is attached by drilling a hole in its axis. On the same pin, put the spring, as well as the bushing and washer.
Step 6
Solder the air filter housing using regular solder. Shorten the carburetor pins a little, and then screw the pan with nipples from the spokes of the Ural motorcycle. Solder four L-shaped plates to the body (the filter will be fastened to them).
Step 7
To make the entire improved structure fit into its allotted place, carefully file the bottom of the frame tube. After that, install the carburetor.
