Winter brings a lot of troubles, including for car owners. One of these troubles is the icing of the windows on the car. It is quite difficult to deal with this and you can even damage the glass. How to quickly and effectively deal with icing on glass?
The most popular way is to use scrapers. A scraper can quickly remove a layer of snow and ice. However, it is important to select only high-quality scrapers with a protective layer, otherwise the glass can easily be damaged. Frequent use of scrapers can cause scuffs or scratches on the glass. Therefore, it is better to use a scraper only in emergency situations, when you need to quickly clean the glass from frost.
The longer, however, the most natural and safest way is to heat the glass from the inside. It is necessary to start the car engine and turn on the cabin heater and glass blowing. After a few minutes, the ice crust will gradually begin to fall off.
There are also chemical anti-icing agents. All products are different and are divided by temperature gradation - this must also be taken into account.
Another tool that helps to cope with ice is a cover that covers the windshield at night. In the morning, the cover is removed, no ice remains on the glass. But it can also happen that the cover will freeze to the paintwork of the car and damage it when removed.
In order to prevent icing of the glass, the best option is to store the car in a dry garage. But not everyone has such an opportunity, so they have to somehow get out of the situation. You can ventilate the interior for a few minutes before parking the car so that the temperature inside and outside is approximately equal. This will somewhat eliminate the appearance of icing. You can also use special anti-freeze glass products.
