Instructions

Step 1

Immediately before drawing up a contract for the sale and purchase of a car, the owner of the car must remove the car from the state registration in the MREO (interdistrict examination department of the AIM) at the place of its registration. The procedure is as follows - the owner will first have to take a queue for a mandatory examination of the reconciliation of numbers, then purchase an official form for recording the examination. After completing this procedure, you must pay the fee for the services of the MREO. Upon presentation of the receipt, the expert will give you his opinion. On a sheet of A4 paper, fill in a written application addressed to the AIM inspector with a request to remove the vehicle from the register. Do not forget to attach the examination report.

Step 2

The second stage is the conclusion of the purchase and sale agreement. Both parties to the contract (seller and buyer) need to be careful when signing it. The subject of the sale and purchase agreement is the car, the ownership of it passes from the seller to the buyer with all the ensuing consequences. A car sale and purchase agreement in Ukraine requires mandatory notarization. An obligatory condition of the contract is the indication of the exact price of the sold car and the consent of the owner of the car with the specified amount.

Step 3

The new owner of the car will have to register it again. Now the buyer will have to independently pay all taxes and duties provided for by Ukrainian legislation. The car must be appraised (if it did not go through the appraisal procedure before the sale) and pay 3% of the value announced by the appraiser to the Pension Fund of Ukraine. By the way, when concluding an agreement, the buyer must also pay for the notary's services upon his certification - the amount of payment usually does not exceed 2%.

Step 4

According to the Ukrainian Rules of State Registration and Accounting of Cars, in order to register a vehicle, you will need to collect and submit the following documents to the MREO:

- notarized purchase and sale agreement;

- a document proving your identity;

- vehicle registration certificate;

- a statement about the removal of the car from the register by the previous owner.
