Tweeters are standard on almost all BMW 34 Series vehicles. They are located on the front panel on the left and right. This arrangement does not make it possible to fully feel their presence in the car. It is recommended to mount them in the lower part of the A-pillars.

Instructions

Step 1

The plastic in the cabin is most often pasted over with fabric material. It must either be cut off or carefully removed from the rack. It is best to cut off the fabric, and at the end of the work, sheathe the racks with special leather, which is intended for car interiors.

Step 2

Make a hole for the buzzer. It should fit straight into the rack. Be aware that too wide a hole in the rack will aggravate the whole process. When calculating the hole, also take into account the conditions for creating the podium itself.

Step 3

First, on the counter, mark the place where the buzzer will be located. The hole should be slightly smaller than the part of the tweeter that fits into the rack. You can make a hole using a conventional drill. Drill inside the marked area. The final adjustment can already be done with a file.

Step 4

Next, you can start creating the podium. Insert the buzzer into the pre-prepared hole. Be sure to consider her catwalk ledge. If necessary, trim the required sections of the hole with a file again. You can use handy materials to create podiums. Place something under the uprights and fill the holes with construction foam. Let it dry well. This usually takes about a day. Use a sharp knife to scrape off excess foam from the inside of the uprights. Some foam should still remain inside. Trim the outside of the foam in the same way. Consider the type and size of the podium. The foam base should be similar to the desired podium finish. Next, make a hole in the foam for the tweeter.

Step 5

Next, prepare a regular bandage and epoxy. Mix the two epoxy components as directed. They should be in the same box. Soak the pieces of bandage well in the mixture. Place them on the foam stand blank. The bandage should be slightly farther than the edges of the foam. It is recommended to apply 2-3 layers. Let the workpiece dry. Sand it well. Then apply new material to the rack. Install it in its original place and connect the tweeters.
