For many motorists, the presence of high-quality sound in the car is a prerequisite. However, only very expensive car brands are equipped with high-quality equipment. Therefore, in budget cars, you have to independently install and connect all the components of the audio system.

It is necessary

  • - subwoofer;
  • - a set of wires;
  • - mounts for the subwoofer case;
  • - self-tapping screws.

Instructions

Step 1

Measure the length and width of the subwoofer enclosure that you want to install in your vehicle. Using these parameters, find the optimal place for installation. If the case is made of smooth material, then the subwoofer should be installed at some distance from the trunk walls. This will prevent crackling and other abnormal noise when the subwoofer is on.

Step 2

Mark the bottom of the trunk where the subwoofer will be installed. Carefully measure all mounting holes and carefully drill holes. Pre-fit. If there are no flaws, then install the fasteners and tighten them carefully using self-tapping screws or bolts.

Step 3

If the subwoofer is passive, install an amplifier. It should be placed some distance from the subwoofer cabinet. Never mount the amplifier behind the subwoofer housing. This will negatively affect the sound quality when the audio system is operating.

Step 4

Fix the amplifier using the same fasteners. Please note that the amplifier and subwoofer must be stationary, otherwise extraneous sounds and other noises will be heard during the operation of the audio system.

Step 5

Route the wiring harness from the trunk to the front panel. There are several ways for laying. You can run the wires through the roof of the car. To do this, you will need to remove the trim. Before that, be sure to visit a car dealer and buy several plastic caps for attaching the skin. They are very fragile and break easily, so you should buy a small stock of such parts in advance.

Step 6

Carefully and carefully attach the wiring harness and tuck it into the technical recesses of the vehicle. For fasteners, use special tape and plastic clamps. Make sure that no part of the wiring is loose. Otherwise, there will be knocks and rattles during movement. Draw the wires to the back of the torpedo along the rack.

Step 7

Connect all wires to amplifier, subwoofer and car radio. Make the first start. If the whole system works fine, reinstall the entire casing in the reverse order.
