Step 1

At the first stage of tire manufacturing, the preparation of rubber compounds is made, from which all the components are made. The main material in the production of tires is natural or artificial rubber. For winter tires, more natural rubber is used, for summer tires - artificial. Special vulcanizing additives, fillers, plasticizers, soot and other chemical compounds are also added to the mixture.

Step 2

Rubber is made in the workshop by mixing the required ingredients. After that, the rubber sheets undergo additional control and are sent directly to the production line, where the treads and sidewalls are made.

Step 3

The tread consists of three layers, which are applied from different rubber compounds using special rotating units called quadroplexes. For tubeless tires, a rubber hermetic layer is also produced, which has high gas tightness and heat resistance.

Step 4

Tire factories also produce a textile cord made of viscose and rubberized on both sides. It is made to receive the inflation pressure of the tire. A steel cord is also placed under the tread, which acts as a reinforcing cord. Also, on special equipment, bead rings are made, consisting of rubberized wire.

Step 5

All parts are delivered to the assembly shop on special tire assembly machines that connect the tread, sidewalls, cord and special hermetic layer in accordance with the programmed settings.

Step 6

Then the tire is sent for painting, where the inner surface is treated with a special chemical solution to achieve better vulcanization. Then the procedure itself begins under the influence of a jet supplied with high pressure and temperature (about 200 ° C), and a steam installation created. The heated tire is pressed against a special mold, which creates the tread pattern and all the inscriptions on the sidewalls.

Step 7

Finished tires undergo visual quality control for cracks, bubbles and other defects. Then the tires are sent for automatic control, where the compliance with the technical characteristics of the product is determined. The tested tires are sent to the warehouse, from where they are delivered to stores for sale to the end customer.
