Regardless of the configuration, all VAZ-2112 cars are equipped with a spoiler with an integrated brake light. The spoiler increases passive safety and improves aerodynamic performance. However, many car owners choose to rent it.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the necessary tool for work: wrenches for "10" and "8", as well as a screwdriver. Remember that it is better to remove the spoiler with an assistant. Open the rear tailgate and lock it in one position. Then remove the trim from the rear door. Proceed with extreme caution so as not to cause damage. Stock up on a few upholstery clips in advance to replace broken ones if any.
Step 2
Take the key to "10" in your hands and unscrew the bolt that secures the spoiler on the outside right side of the door. Then remove the spoiler mounting bracket. Likewise, unscrew the bolt located on the left outer side of the rear door, carefully remove the bracket.
Step 3
Now on the back (salon) side of the door, unscrew the right spoiler mounting nut. Remember to remove the special washer. Do the same operation on the other side of the door. Locate the connector that is connected to the auxiliary brake light installed on the spoiler. Pull the wires out of the connector.
Step 4
Using a spanner “8”, unscrew the nut that secures the additional signal ground wire and disconnect the wire from the stud. Asking an assistant to grasp one edge of the spoiler, two people remove it from the vehicle. Reinstall the door trim and seal the holes from the mounting bolts using sealant or other available means. Then carefully polish the work surface.
Step 5
Install an additional brake light, which was on the spoiler, to the rear window. To do this, purchase a standard signal, remove the bulbs from there and install the LED stop from the spoiler there. After that, connect it and glue it with double-sided tape on the glass surface from the inside.
