Step 1
Prepare the necessary documents:
- passport;
- technical passport of the vehicle;
- car registration certificate;
- power of attorney for the car (if you are not the owner), notarized. In this case, you need an original and a photocopy.
Step 2
Go to the window of the primary collection of documents MREV (MOTOTRER) and submit these documents. When submitting documents to the MREO, your car will be checked for outstanding fines, for theft and criminal cases, etc. If there are unpaid fines, pay them on the spot. After processing, you will receive back the documents, as well as receipts for payment of state fees, which you will pay at the nearest branch of Sberbank. Write a statement to deregister the car according to the established model.
Step 3
Present your car at the vehicle inspection area. There he will be examined by a traffic police inspector, and if everything is in order, he will make the necessary entries in your application. Ensure the cleanliness and legibility of the vehicle unit numbers (engine, body and chassis) in advance. After the inspection, receive the certificate of technical examination and reconciliation of the unit numbers.
Step 4
Remove the license plates from the car. Submit all the necessary documents, as well as numbers and receipts for payment of the state duty in the registration window. After processing them by the inspector, you will receive updated documents and transit numbers. Be careful! Transit numbers are valid for twenty days. After going through these procedures, you will receive the following documents:
- vehicle registration certificate;
- accounting card (issued if the technical passport is plastic);
- transit numbers;
- a receipt for payment of the transport tax.
Install transit numbers on the vehicle. The deregistration procedure has been successfully completed.
