More often, cars disappear during evacuation. Therefore, the traffic police recommends that you first ring the phones related to the services responsible for the evacuated vehicles. However, not all car owners know these phones.
The question of where to call is of interest to every motorist who finds that his car has disappeared from the parking lot. It is easier for experienced offenders, they are already familiar with the instructions for rescuing evacuated cars. For beginners, there are a number of expert tips.
What to do if your car is evacuated

Before you go to get your car, you need to drive for the appropriate permit to the central office of the GSPC or to one of its departments. There you will have to present a number of documents, which include:
- driver's license;
- vehicle registration certificate;
- CTP policy;
- civil passport of the owner of the car;
- a power of attorney, if you drive on it.
In response, you will receive the following package of documents, on the basis of which the car will be returned to you:
- protocol on the arrest of the vehicle;
- permission to return it;
- a receipt of the fine, which must be paid within the timeframe provided by law;
- a document for payment of the evacuation of the car.
What you need to consider when picking up a car from a parking lot
When picking up a car from the impoundment parking lot, be sure to inspect it for possible damage. Remember that after you leave the parking lot, it will be almost impossible to make a claim for new scratches, possibly left by a tow truck.
You should also check if anything has disappeared from the car. If damage or loss of valuable things is found, immediately call the police squad and draw up a protocol.
In case you left the documents for the car in the glove compartment of the car, you will first have to go to the parking lot to get them out. Indeed, without them, the GSPCS will not issue you a permit to receive a car. At the parking lot, you will have to issue an autopsy report, pick up the documents, and then complete everything with an act of sealing the car. Then you can go to the GSPC and go through the entire procedure in full. It is worth remembering that parking in the special parking lot is not free. If the registration procedure takes several days, you will have to pay additionally for the time that your car was under arrest.
