The desire to re-register a car for another person arises for various reasons. For example, one of the spouses buys a car for himself, and then decides to register with the second spouse. Or someone decides to donate their car.

Step 1
In any case, the car must first be bought and registered to yourself, before re-issuing or giving to someone. And for this you will go through a cycle of certain procedures: choose the car you like in the dealership and fill out the sales contract. And fill in without blots and corrections.
Step 2
After signing the documents, the purchase and sale transaction is considered completed. Then, within five days, go to the traffic police department at your place of residence. Fill out the application, check the license plates at a specially created site and give the traffic police inspector a package of the following documents: application, car passport with attached photocopy, sales contract, transit signs and your own passport. Within the indicated five days, also issue an OSAGO policy, which you will show to the inspector when submitting documents, and do not forget to pay a certain amount of state duty for registration. Attach the payment receipt to the package of documents.
Step 3
After three working hours, you will receive a license plate, a Certificate of Registration and a Vehicle Passport, where the registration mark is affixed. When you need to re-register the car for another person, you will have to go through the entire registration process again. Only first remove the car from the traffic police register.
Step 4
To do this, prepare the same list of documents and hand it over to the reception window of the traffic police department.

When the documents are processed, pay for the registration actions at Sberbank, check the numbered units of the car at the observation deck. Submit the documents and numbers to the registration window and wait until they are corrected.
Step 6
As soon as your documents and transit numbers are returned to you, go through the car registration process again. Only this time, take with you the person to whom the car will be re-registered.
