Our winters are always unpredictable and there are times when it's 40 degrees below zero outside, you are in a hurry and your car won't start. Even from such a difficult situation, you can find a way out.
Instructions
Step 1
After you have tried to start the car several times, but it will not start, turn off the ignition for one minute. Then turn it on and the low beam to warm up the battery a little. It is worth turning on the light for no more than 30 seconds.
Step 2
Now you can try to start the car again. If you have a manual transmission, then squeeze the clutch; with an automatic transmission, nothing needs to be done.
Step 3
As a rule, in severe frost, the battery does not completely drain, so an excellent option would be to "light up" from another car. If this option does not help, then open the hood and disconnect the terminals from the battery, bring it home for a while to warm it up.
Step 4
Now you need to install the battery back and try to start the car. If the car starts up, then it should be allowed to warm up, usually it takes 10 minutes. After that, you can safely go on the road.
Step 5
If after several attempts nothing works, then it is better to go about your business by public transport, and bring the battery home and put it on charge.
