Step 1
Insert the ignition key and put the car on the "handbrake" for complete control over the car and prevent its spontaneous movement, this will also allow you to more confidently control the situation on the road before starting to move.
Step 2
Move the transmission lever to neutral, as you risk causing significant damage to the transmission if you try to start the car engine at the engaged speed. Turn the ignition key to the "on" position and wait until all lights go out, especially the injector icon. Depress the clutch and start the starter for a few seconds.
Step 3
If the engine does not start, wait a few minutes and continue from the moment you turn the ignition key. As a rule, the engine should start if the starter is turning. If your attempts are unsuccessful, depress the gas pedal halfway when starting. In severe frosts, "candle flooding" can occur - this makes it impossible to start the engine. In this case, press the gas pedal all the way down for a few seconds. If the car still does not start, remove the battery and take it to a warm place.
Step 4
At extremely low temperatures, change the mineral oil to synthetic or semi-synthetic. Use only quality oil. This will ensure that the engine starts well.
