It is necessary

  • - vinyl film;
  • - soap solution;
  • - degreaser;
  • - squeegees;
  • - hairdryer.

Instructions

Step 1

It is better to work in the garage, but if this is not possible, choose a calm day for outdoor work so that dust and small debris, flying onto the surface of the car, do not interfere. Wash the vehicle or its vinyl-coated part with soapy water. Wipe dry. Then treat the area to be coated with a degreaser. Remember that the surface must be perfectly clean.

Step 2

Without peeling off the mounting paper or removing the vinyl from the backing, attach the material to the pasting site. Make the necessary marks for the future position of the film by applying masking tape to the machine. Pay special attention to this stage, since the final result of the work will largely depend on the fitting.

Step 3

Using a sprayer, apply a soap solution to the pasting area, which makes it possible to correct the position of the sticker and helps to better remove air from under it. Make sure that the solution covers every millimeter of the surface. Be careful not to wet the base of the film so that there are no problems with its separation.

Step 4

Place the film on a flat, stable surface. Peel off the white paper (backing) carefully. Invite helpers. By separating the film in several hands, you will be able to avoid accidentally tucking the edges of the film and sticking it to itself.

Step 5

Apply the vinyl decal to the treated area and roll it evenly with a rubber squeegee while heating with a hair dryer. Glue the vinyl, starting to move the squeegee from the center to the periphery.

Step 6

Do not allow air to remain under the film, forming bumps and folds. If you still cannot avoid this, remove the part of the vinyl under which there is air and roll it again. After all the film is adhered, dry it with a hairdryer and leave it on for 15 minutes.

Step 7

To remove the remaining soap solution, go over the sticker with a felt squeegee and dry everything again with a hairdryer. Leave the machine overnight for the film to set. Don't wash it for a week.
