Instructions

Step 1

Change grenades on a VAZ-2115 car only with the rear wheels fixed with wheel chocks. The front of the machine must be lifted and supports for belay should be placed under both sides. Not everyone has available such as at the service station, so it is allowed to use strong wooden beams, and better hemp of large diameter (at least 30 centimeters). It is highly undesirable to substitute stones, bricks, blocks, as they can not only pierce the bottom of the car, but also crumble, which will lead to the inevitable fall of the car.

Step 2

Loosen the wheel-to-hub bolts. Only after suspending the front of the machine, unscrew them completely and remove the wheels. It is best to replace CV joints one by one. First on one drive, then on the second. Firstly, you cannot remove two grenades from the checkpoint at the same time without a special plug. Secondly, it is much more convenient to carry out repairs first on one side, then on the other. If there is a partner, then you can work synchronously on both sides of the car.

Step 3

Loosen the nut on the hub. To do this, it is most convenient to use a head of 30. To it you need to weld a meter piece of pipe (it will serve as a good lever). First, open the nut with a punch, only then unscrew it. It is tightened with great effort, so it will not be easy to rip it off with simple keys. Consider this when assembling. Use pliers or pliers to remove the pins from the tie rod end. Then unscrew the nut with a 19 key.

Step 4

Install the puller on the rod and, slowly screwing in the bolt on it, achieve the exit of the finger from the steering knuckle of the shock absorber. Using a 17 spanner wrench, unscrew the two bolts that secure the ball joint. Remove the outer grenade from the wheel hub. Half of the job is done, it remains to remove the inner CV joint. First, drain the oil from the gearbox so that it does not leak out after removing the drive. Using a chisel and a hammer, you need to remove the internal grenade from the gearbox. For this purpose, you can also use a crowbar; there is an emphasis on the box.

Step 5

Clamp the actuator as tightly as possible in a vise after removal. Loosen the clamps, and the anthers can even be cut so that they do not get in the way. But it's better to turn them inside out. Sharp blows with a hammer on the CV joints will knock them off the drive shaft. The shaft must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed in a solvent and wiped dry with a rag. It is not recommended to mix old grease with new one. The drive must be assembled in strict sequence. String the clamp and the protective boot on the shaft, only after them put the retaining ring.

Step 6

Drive a grenade onto the drive shaft. This can be done with a simple hammer, just put a bronze or wooden lining in place of the impact. Hit hard, but not hard. Do not show fanaticism in this matter. Having installed the CV joint, squeeze out all the grease that came in the kit into the boot. Now it remains to pull the protective boot over the grenade and fix it with clamps. Similarly, all grenades are replaced with the VAZ-2115. And the assembly of all units is carried out in the reverse order.
