A video recorder, navigator, radar and other gadgets that are designed to make the life of a motorist easier, in fact, take up a lot of space. And their main disadvantage is that they all work from a cigarette lighter. And then the whole windshield is covered with wires. All this can be avoided by connecting the DVR directly to the car's standard wires.
It is necessary
- Video recorder;
- - wires;
- - insulating tape;
- - side cutters;
- - universal screwdriver;
- - tester.
Instructions
Step 1
Mount the DVR on the windshield near the rear-view mirror so that it does not interfere with the view. Fold back the headliner at the edge of the windshield and route the wires from the DVR to the driver's side. Pre-wrap the wires in fabric tape. This method will avoid unnecessary noise from the wire (rattling), especially in cold weather.
Step 2
Unfasten the driver's pillar or bend the side door cutter and lay the wire inside. The wire can be connected either to the ignition switch or to the fuse box. The wire has two outputs on the plug: the central one goes to + 12V; the lateral ones are attached to the ground.
Step 3
Depending on the model of the DVR, it can be connected to a constant plus or to the ACC wire (accessory) - when 12V appears on it in the first position of the key in the ignition lock. The ACC wire can be found with a dial tone or a tester on the fuse box.
