If you leave your car in the winter under the windows of your house, then be prepared for the fact that one morning you will have to remove not only the snow, but also the ice crust from your car. It is not always possible to do this simply and accurately.
Instructions
Step 1
Remember not to drive onto the road before removing the snow or ice. This is due to the fact that while driving, the roof of the car heats up, and there will come such a moment that a crust of ice will slide down and close the windshield, thereby reducing visibility to zero.
Step 2
Remove snow from the roof before it melts and turns into ice, because then it can do the most damage to the car paintwork. Clean the ice mainly from the glass of the vehicle, because the hardness of the scrapers is much lower than that of glass, so they will not bring any harm. Be extremely careful when cleaning the rest of the car - plastic and paint can be easily scratched by both ice and work tools.
Step 3
Use a scraper brush to scrape off the ice only forward. In the opposite direction, you will have to lift the brush or unfold it. This is necessary because when ice is removed, fine sand and dirt are removed, which accumulate and can damage the glass. Remember that the use of metal objects is not permissible.
Step 4
Turn on heated glass with warm air. To begin with, do this at minimum power to avoid cracking. At the same time, start removing ice from the glass, so you can avoid damage to the glass and effectively clean it.
Step 5
Remember that a simple cloth to cover the glass and press down on the doors will help to reduce the amount of ice on the windshield. However, if precipitation is likely, do not use this method, because the matter can freeze, and you will not be able to tear it off the glass. Be sure to raise the wipers when you park for a long time on the street, when the temperature outside the window is freezing - this will prevent them from freezing to the glass and prevent partial formation of ice.
