Driving and not paying fines is a driver's dream. Although you can avoid a fine on completely legal grounds. To do this, you just need to know the rules and laws and defend your rights before an inspector or in court.
Instructions
Step 1
Now, when on the roads more and more cameras are used for video surveillance and recording of offenses, it is difficult to avoid a legal fine. If you have received a photo that clearly shows the car number and the car itself, most likely you will have to pay. If the number is not clearly visible in the photo or a car of a different make and model, contact the traffic police department. In writing, write a statement why you disagree with the fine and state the reasons. Give your application to the review team and ask for written notice of the decision.
Step 2
As a rule, all controversial situations with the testimony of the video recorder are resolved in court. You need to file a lawsuit only if you are 100% sure of your innocence. For example, a violation was recorded while you were absent from the city and the car was not operated. Provide proof that you were really not in the city, and the transport was not transferred to another person. To avoid such cases, do not sell the car by proxy, because the notification of fines is received by the owner of the car.
Step 3
If an inspector stops you and makes a complaint about a traffic violation, calmly ask to explain what exactly you violated. For example, the inspector claims that you have driven through a red light. This means that he is obliged to show you a video in which you really drove to the intersection at the prohibiting traffic light. If, however, the red is lit after you have passed the stop line, you can insist that you have completed the maneuver.
Step 4
If you are stopped for speeding, the inspector should show you a video recording and your speed data. But if you are shown radar data (in some cities it is still used), you can insist that this speed is not yours. But only if at that moment there were other road users next to you on the road.
Step 5
Always carry a table of fines and violations with you. Drivers are often caught on their own illiteracy. But there are offenses for which only a warning or a purely symbolic fine is provided, which can be paid. Therefore, when the inspector names your violation and the amount of the fine, do not hesitate to open the table of fines right in front of him, find the number of the violation and voice the punishment that is provided for it.
