During operation, the glass of cars can be covered with micro-scratches and chips. Transparency is lost and vehicle control becomes more difficult. In order to get rid of this problem, you need to polish the scratches on the car glass.
Necessary
polishing paste
Instructions
Step 1
Buy car glass polishing paste. It can be an abrasive (fine-grained pastes) based on chromium, iron or cerium oxide. Cerium-based paste, which is a brown aqueous suspension, is considered the most effective.
Step 2
Prepare the glass for polishing: rinse and dry thoroughly. Achieve perfect cleanliness. Protect the car body from the ingress of polishing paste with plastic or cloth.
Step 3
Apply the paste to where the glass is scratched. Do this by hand or with a polishing machine. Make sure that the paste fills in any chips and scratches. Microscratches in the glass can be polished by hand. If you need to tidy up a large area, use an electric polisher. Polish using special polishing attachments. If you are not using a special tool, but are polishing by hand, use a piece of cloth or felt. Be careful - the glass should become transparent and smooth again.
Step 4
Wait for the polishing paste to harden. Wash the glass in the usual way.
