Removing the tinting is necessary if you want the car to be affordable. The fine for tint not according to GOST is 500 rubles. After removing the film, a transparent layer of glue remains, which is sometimes problematic to peel off.
Instructions
Step 1
Before removing the tint, thoroughly heat the film with a hair dryer. This will allow you to remove the glue along with the tinting. Use a building hair dryer for this, but a regular one will do the same. Remember that temperatures above 40 degrees can melt the film. Therefore, heat the surface evenly, then pick up the film with a blade and remove it.
Step 2
Do not press the hair dryer very tightly against the glass, otherwise it may crack or be damaged. Also keep the hair dryer away from plastic parts. If done correctly, most of the glue will remain on the removed film and not on the glass. Remove glue residues with a special glass cleaner after tinting.
Step 3
Stock up on essential supplies: laundry soap, a clean rag, sponge, water, razor blade, or scraper. Then pick up the soap and apply it to a rag or sponge. Lather the glass where the glue remains. Carefully cut off the adhesive with a razor or scraper. Wipe the surface with a clean rag and enjoy the work done.
Step 4
Try wiping off the adhesive with detergents or oily substances such as acetone. However, the latter method is bad in that a specific smell remains, and the ingress of acetone on other parts of the car makes them unusable. Solvents have the same properties and must be used with care.
Step 5
Make a solution of detergent and water until a rich foam is obtained. Apply it with a sponge to the surface and wait until it dries completely. After that, foam the second layer and use a "rough" fabric, such as denim, and wipe off the adhesive. Try to press firmly so that the glue comes off completely. Gently clean hard-to-reach areas around the edges with a sharp knife.
