State technical inspection of vehicles (popularly just "technical inspection") - these are traffic police activities designed to monitor the compliance of the vehicle with the requirements of established standards. A technically faulty car poses a threat both to the owner himself and to other road users.
Necessary
- - a document proving your identity;
- - driver's license;
- - receipts confirming the payment of duties and fees;
- - coupon for passing MOT;
- - title documents for the car (or power of attorney);
- - insurance policy.
Instructions
Step 1
To pass MOT, prepare a Vehicle Registration Certificate or a technical passport of a vehicle and (or) a technical coupon of a vehicle. It must have all the stamps of the traffic police of the area where the car is registered.
Step 2
Prepare your identity document. The main one for citizens of the Russian Federation is a passport. If lost, prepare a temporary ID card issued by the police. Military personnel can present an identity card and a certificate of registration at the place of residence, a military ID.
Step 3
Don't forget your driver's license. Make sure that it has all the permissive marks for the right to drive a vehicle. Include a wrongdoing insert, if available.
Step 4
Pay all applicable fees and charges. Prepare all the receipts for their payment. The duties are established by Chapter 25.3 of Part Two of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation. Also, have on hand a ticket for passing MOT (it costs 300 rubles).
Step 5
Register documents certifying the right to use radio electronic means (high-frequency devices). These documents are issued by the bodies of state supervision over communications in the Russian Federation, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation. This requirement does not apply to ordinary civil television and radio receivers, radio tape recorders, and the like.
Step 6
Make sure that you have a document confirming that this car belongs to you, or that you are driving it under a power of attorney. If not, contact your local traffic police department.
Step 7
Check the insurance policy, the payment dates on it - there should be no debts. At the technical inspection, only original documents or temporary certificates (in case of loss of originals) must be presented.
