Car preparation is required to participate in the rally. In the event that the car does not meet the accepted standards, its driver will not be able to take part in the competition.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine which skill group your car belongs to. In Russia, rally cars are usually divided into 2 groups - N and A. Group N includes serial cars produced with a circulation of at least 2500 copies. The options for completing such a machine are very limited. Group A vehicles are similar in design to the base production model only in general terms, and these vehicles are allowed to undergo significant modifications.
Step 2
Select the elements of the car that you will modify. In cars of class N, you can change the body and injection system, adjust the suspension, reprogram the engine control unit and change the shock absorbers. At the same time, it is strictly forbidden to change the suspension, modify the engine, the structure of the gearbox and the brake system. In Group A cars, everything can be altered, modified and changed, including the engine, suspension, gearbox and braking system.
Step 3
Install four-point seat belts, fire safety system, battery switch. Put the locks on the trunk and hood. It is recommended to strengthen the car body as much as possible, and if there is such an opportunity, also to lighten it. Install the roll cage, reinforce the attachment points for side members, front struts, etc. Be sure to reinforce the underbody of the vehicle. Pay particular attention to protecting the transmission.
Step 4
If your car belongs to group N, be sure to tune the suspension. In Group A cars, the conventional suspension can be replaced with a sports suspension or completely redesigned in accordance with the homologation cards.
Step 5
Change a regular fuel tank to a sports one to eliminate the possibility of fuel leakage. Brake and fuel lines can be reinforced or replaced with reinforced ones. Replace the intake nozzles with better quality and better performance. Reprogram the engine control unit if necessary.
