Scratches on a car are a very unpleasant thing. Moreover, both small, almost imperceptible and deep, well-distinguishable scratches affect the mood of the car owner equally badly. Step 1
First, determine the depth of the resulting scratches, as well as the place where they appeared. So for example, if the scratches are small, almost invisible and are located directly on the body, then you can do with the usual polish. To do this, you need to treat the damaged area with a soft, clean cloth with a special agent applied to it. But this will only hide the damage that has not reached the car's undercoat. Small scratches can also be done with a correcting pencil. They just need to rub the scratches over a clean, dry surface and it will cover the damage.
Step 2
If the scratches are deeper and have already touched the ground, then they need to be repaired in a more complex way. First, fill in the damaged area, then level everything so that there are no rough edges. Then prime and paint again. After such repairs, no one would guess that you had damage to the body.
Step 3
You can get rid of a scratch with car paint alone. To do this, gradually pour a layer of paint into the scratch, letting it dry, then the next one. And so on until you get to the edges of the scratch. Then, after the paint has completely dried, sand the damaged area and polish it.
Step 4
Bumper scratches can be repaired with sanding paper and paint. To do this, carefully sand the place of damage on the car with an ordinary abrasive sponge, then prime this place and repaint it in the color of the entire body. Let dry and scratches are gone.
Step 5
If the scratches are old, covered with rust, then first you need to get rid of it. To do this, sand, sparing no effort, the entire area affected by corrosion. It is necessary to ensure that not a trace of rust remains. Then treat the damaged area with a special solution that will prevent further destruction of the metal and let it dry. And only after that you can start the main repair work - putty, primer and painting.
