Necessary

  • - microfiber cloth;
  • - polish;
  • - special corrector pencil;
  • - a toothpick;
  • - sandpaper;
  • - plastic spatula;
  • - automobile leveling compound;
  • - primer;
  • - dye

Instructions

Step 1

If the scratches are minor and only the lacquer surface is damaged, use a microfiber cloth and polish. First, wash your car thoroughly. Gently rub down any scratches you find with microfiber, and then apply polish to them.

Step 2

Small scratches can also be masked with a special correcting pencil. It is a set of two jars: one with varnish, and the other with paint. Before removing scratches, clean the body from dust and dirt, dry it. Using a toothpick, apply a thin layer of paint to the damaged area. Wait for it to dry and cover with varnish on top. So that after work there is no noticeable difference in tones, try to choose a pencil color that will match the color of your car as much as possible.

Step 3

If the scratches are old, first clean them of the resulting rust by sanding the damaged area well. Then apply a small amount of a special solution to prevent future corrosion. When the surface is dry, you can proceed with putty, primer and painting.

Step 4

To get rid of deep scratches, take sandpaper and gently scrape the paint off the damaged area. Using a plastic trowel, apply automotive leveling compound to the surface to be treated. Wait for it to completely harden. The exact hardening time is indicated in the instructions on the package. After that, thoroughly sand the surface, spray it with a primer, making sure that no smudges form. Leave to dry completely. Take a brush and start applying paint. Let it dry for a few hours. Polish the surface.
