Make the length of the winch cable 80-110 meters. The average speed with which the cable is wound at low gears should be 0.2-0.5 m / s. Before using the winch, attach the end of the cable to a support capable of withstanding the maximum pulling force. It can be a large tree or a large tree stump. Pre-make the anchor from a steel rod with a diameter of 10-15 mm and a length of up to one meter. Screw the winch cable into the corkscrew eyelet.

If your vehicle does not have a winch, use the drive wheels for self-recovery. To do this, install the self-recovery winches on their hubs, put the winches with cables on the flanges. Unwind the cables and fasten to the support.

Attach the chains to the drive wheels of the machine. Use twisted chains with locking devices as the simplest device to increase traction. Wrap them evenly around rims and tires, and then secure with locks.

Step 6

Note that chains are only used to temporarily increase flotation in particularly difficult terrain. On paved roads, they must be removed as damage to the generators may occur.
