Use a power take-off winch to retrieve a stuck vehicle and climb hills. Install the winch at the front of the vehicle through the generator. The advantage of such an installation will be the simplicity of its drive and ease of maintenance. Of the shortcomings, take into account the overload of the front axle of the car and a decrease in the front angle of permeability.

The winch drum is driven by a worm gear. In order to keep the drum under load, it has a brake. To protect the elements of the winch from breakage in the drive, which receives torque from the gearbox, there is a torque limiter - a pin. It will shear if the allowable torque becomes greater. Make the length of the winch cable 80-110 meters. The average speed with which the cable is wound at low gears should be 0.2-0.5 m / s. If you have a heavy-duty vehicle, then install the winch in the middle of the vehicle.
Step 3
Before using the winch, attach the end of the cable to a support capable of withstanding the maximum pulling force. It can be a large tree or a large tree stump. If there are no natural supports, use a corkscrew type anchor, which is screwed into the ground with a crowbar. Pre-make the anchor from a steel rod with a diameter of 10-15 mm and a length of up to one meter. Screw the winch cable into the corkscrew eyelet.
Step 4
If your vehicle does not have a winch, use the drive wheels for self-recovery. To do this, install the self-recovery winches on their hubs, put the winches with cables on the flanges. Unwind the cables and fasten to the support.
Step 5
Also, to increase the cross-country ability of the car, use chains of various designs that increase the traction force according to the adhesion conditions. Attach the chains to the drive wheels of the machine. Use twisted chains with locking devices as the simplest device to increase traction. Wrap them evenly around rims and tires, and then secure with locks.
Step 6
Note that chains are only used to temporarily increase flotation in particularly difficult terrain. On paved roads, they must be removed as damage to the generators may occur.
