During long-term operation of the car, all its parts wear out. This inevitably entails a violation of the regulation of the operation of all systems, including the engine power supply system. And if the engine on the car starts to work intermittently and stalls at idle, then it's time to adjust the carburetor.

Instructions

Step 1

The engine idle speed is adjusted only when the engine is warm and running.

Step 2

Screw 1 (see figure) restricts the closing of the throttle valve, it fixes the position of the open valve in the primary chamber of the carburetor.

Screw 2 (see figure) adjusts the quality of the fuel mixture. That is, unscrewing it - the content of gasoline in the vapors of the fuel mixture (enriched mixture) increases. When screwing in the screw, the fuel mixture, on the contrary, becomes leaner.

Step 3

With the screws located at the bottom of the carburetor, it was found out that now you can start directly adjusting the carburetor in order to ensure stable engine idling.

Step 4

Turning screw No. 1 to the right or left, it is necessary to set the minimum engine speed.

Step 5

Then, turning screw No. 2 in one direction or another, we now set the maximum engine speed.

Step 6

After that, unscrewing screw No. 1, it is necessary to set again the minimum crankshaft speed.

Step 7

Further, by rotating screw No. 2, which regulates the quality of the fuel mixture, the maximum possible engine speed is set.

Step 8

After that, screw No. 1 sets the crankshaft rotation speed within 600-700 rpm, and then the accelerator pedal increases the engine speed to 3000-4000 rpm, and the gas pedal is abruptly released after reaching the specified engine operating mode. If the engine, after the actions taken, continues to run stably at idle, then the carburetor is adjusted correctly.

If the engine stalls, then this indicates the need to repeat the carburetor adjustment.
