Renault Logan is one of the most popular foreign cars in its price segment among Russian motorists. This is due to its good characteristics and quality. Let's consider how to remove the front bumper on this model.
Instructions
Step 1
To successfully complete the work, prepare the necessary tools: a screwdriver, a "10" spanner and a socket wrench. Before taking action, thoroughly wash and then wipe down the bumper and mudguards with a dry, clean cloth to reduce the amount of dirt that may get on you later. Using a screwdriver, carefully unscrew the screws, which are fasteners at the same time for both the bumper and the lower part of the mudguard. Remember that there are three of these screws located on both the left and right sides.
Step 2
Pull out the retainer that secures the back and remove the piston. Then, using a thin screwdriver, pry the large piston located at the bottom of the mudguard and remove it. Disconnect the clips from the bottom of the mudguard from the top of the body and the front bumper. Carefully remove the lower parts of the mudguards on both sides.
Step 3
To permanently remove the mudguard, you must disconnect its upper part. To do this, pry the bottom mount piston with a screwdriver and remove it. Then find the plastic nut that secures the top to the car body. Now calmly remove the mudguards and set aside. Locate the screws that secure the grille to the radiator frame. Remember that the front bumper and radiator trim are one piece. Then unscrew the four screws and remove the bumper.
Step 4
Do not forget that if you have fog lamps installed that are attached to the standard connectors located in the bumper, then it is better to take care of removing them in advance. If they remain in place, then make sure not to make sudden movements when disconnecting the bumper. When carrying out further work with the removed part, it is better to disconnect the headlights in order to avoid their breakage.
